Nothing starts off a read like self-reflection with a little assertiveness. I want you to think about the topic title. The mission of this post is to get you to start engaging with yourself in a way that invokes that which you suppress and what holds you back from what you want in life. Think about why you have not obtained what you want to accomplish.
Here are the most popular goals people want in life.
What you want in life is an important subject because it affects every aspect of your life. You can choose to push back the rising challenges in the back of your subconscious or come to terms with what is holding you back. I want you to know that being indifferent, unmotivated, or being in negative space is how things are sometimes. Not knowing what you want is acceptable in the short term. It is natural, or else it would not happen to you. It is okay to operate with negativity and lethargy. Realize and learn what it is like to be in a place that is not what you want. I want you to think of something you want to accomplish. Then think of why you have not done it yet.
I am about to get into some pretty heavy material, so tread with caution, and enjoy.
On my journey, I often ask myself these questions,
Am I motivated enough to do what I want to do, to give back in the way that I want? Is everything I am doing right now aligning with my purpose? Do I know my purpose in life? Do I have a compass that is leading me in my right direction in life? Do I know how to get the future I want for myself? Is the life I am living right now an accurate representation of my values and desires?
I sometimes wake up in fear that I am not motivated enough because, to be honest, I am not where I want to be.
I struggle not only with focusing but always finding interest in new ventures and hustles. I fight the lack the mental focus to see things through, and though I want to and desire to bring my passions to fruition, I struggle with overcoming self-sabotage and creating my life securities and balance.
I wake up every day with the mentality of going to kick my obstacles in the ass today and get things done. Guess what? I do, most of the time, anyway. When I set my mind to it, I do it more often.
I succeed not because I am this almighty person that is “Tony Robbins” positive. I allow myself to recognize that I am just me, and being just me, is sometimes difficult to handle. I understand that I have personal challenges. I want to identify with them so I can open up to the world. If I do not become vulnerable and accepting of who I am and not who I want to be, then I can never truly move forward with myself and who I want to become.
When I can, I open myself to my insecurities, my way of being, now. I try to as much as I can resonate with all of me because I am the person that creates the reality I live.
Life is a direct reflection of who we are at this moment. Our current reality is the most tangible lens to who you are right now and how you operate in life. Your present reality does not limit nor affect the future projections of your future reality if you do not want them to.
So, next time you see or meet someone that is in alignment with what they want in life, understand that they have connected to the world and themselves to a substantial degree. This kind of person was able to give back to themselves and know that they deserve what they want because they want the best for themselves. Will you allow or permit yourself to have what you want?
Are you staying true to your goals, values, and purpose? What does that even mean? Know who you are now, understand who that person is and wants to become, and start painting the portrait. There is no process for you specifically; the process is for you to unravel and figure out yourself.
A key ingredient to what you want may be discovering what you are great at, your strengths, how that connects to people, what you are missing from your life, what you commonly think about that you wish you had. It is the small collection of little things that add up to this masterpiece of a portrait called your life.
So many forget that without prioritizing your goals and values, you become lost in the rat race, you become lost yourself. Not to mention becoming lost by listening to others and displacing authority on what happens in your story.
Many people do not take the time to sit down with a pen and paper and write out what most important. Many people sit dormant to the potential that they have for themselves by lacking the drive to self-discovery of who they are and what makes them great.
Remember that this is not easier said than done. If resonating with your goals and manifesting that into your reality was easy to do, the world would be a much different place. Maybe we would have fewer people complaining about their coffee at a Starbucks.
Life has a plethora of growth opportunities for you, infinitely. The chance to unravel self-love, self-awareness, and unconditional presence will always be with you. We operate and create mindsets on spectrums of self-realization.
Life is a learning experience and journey, and to summarize, we continually rediscover our self-worth, esteem, confidence, and connection to the world, and finding purpose within it all. I believe that if you are reading this and you make some minimal effort to start some things I have mentioned, you are on your way to a life that is guided by what you want in it.
It is time to think seriously about what you want in life and what you need to do to make that you’re reality right now.
